Bayer Corporation
Headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri, Bayer Corporation Agriculture Division focuses on the company's Animal Health, Crop Protection, and Garden and Professional Care businesses. When the division's analytical labs in Kansas City were recently relocated to a new building and renovated, narrow MAX/Wall was utilized to organize, manage, and, conceal utility lines—and instrumentation and communications cables—yet assure easy access to them for servicing and reconfiguration. The system also provided a way to support and store the large analytical instrumentation as well as a means to move it around the lab when necessary. MAX/Wall's slim six-inch footprint also delivered significantly greater worksurface and storage space than would have been possible with a wider technical wall system. What's more, MAX/Wall sections—utilities and all—and the wide variety of MAX/Lab furnishing components which attach to them, can be moved around the 20,000 sq. ft. lab when things change in much less time and at considerably lower cost. MAX/Wall made it possible to position heavy-duty moveable tables on one side of the wall—to support the heavy instrumentation as well as to ease its servicing and mobility around the lab—and standard MAX/Lab cantilevered shelving and base modules on the other side. Velcro-mounted insert panels with a linear 1-inch void space directly above the worksurfaces were incorporated as a cable drop and for servicing. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
